    JUNE 30: SHUT DOWN ICE

    Wellington Common, 4:00 pm—-

Hosted by FIRE – Fight for Im/migrants and Refugees

On Saturday, June 30th, we will shut down South Bay County Jail and Detention Center to demand an end to any and all cooperation with ICE. Sign up here –> https://goo.gl/forms/vRKjZJ9Q9ejg5y5Y2

At the border, we have seen the real face of hate. Children are being lost and abused, parents are committing suicide and through all this the perpetrators are bragging about their atrocities. Families being ripped apart has been the only reality that the undocumented people have known. For many years undocumented people have had to endure all the different forms of separation, all because of the sentiment that somehow we are lesser people, or not people according to Trump.

In many ways, Massachusetts claims to be supportive of undocumented people, but they are nothing but empty words. In Massachusetts,
    – We still have 287g contract which allow cops to work highly with Immigration Customs Enforcement.
    – We have secure communities act
    – Still there is heavy tracking/surveilling/criminalizing immigrant and other communities of color
    – Recently there was shared information between schools and ICE

We owe it to our children and families to confront the inhumane system which has detained, deported, and degraded immigrants for years and is now using our families and wellbeing as political pawns.

We need you to be on the right side of history and fight with us. On Saturday, June 30th, we will shut down South Bay County Jail and Detention Center to demand an end to any and all cooperation with ICE. We will meet at 4pm at Wellington Common Park across from the Mass Ave. T Station to march to South Bay. Join us. Sign up here –> https://goo.gl/forms/vRKjZJ9Q9ejg5y5Y2
