None of the administrations evicting occupy camps citing health and safety concerns has proven that the camps are any less safe than society at large. It’s complete bullshit!
i honestly forgot about you people over the holidays.
.
and i don’t think i’m the only one.
In a twisted way it is so ironic that what many supporters are asking from the movement is also being suggested by the LA Mayor ! It is time for the next phase of the movement, however not instead of encampments but in addition to encampments, the OWS movement and all occupations should mobilize and think creatively how to mobilize the large number of followers.
.
LA’s Mayor as he is threatening to evict says that the movement must spread the message of economic justice. Who can argue with that?

“The 2-month-old movement is also at a crossroads, Villaraigosa said, and must “move from holding a particular patch of park to spreading the message of economic justice.” http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-501363_162-57331623/occupy-la-deadline-comes-many-say-they-wont-go/

May we in Occupy Boston uplift ourselves enough so that we are a camp worth surviving, and then survive through the Winter, safely, and with discipline. The physical presence is important, as is the whole movement. The physical presence of beating hearts in an occupied space is a catalyst that provides energy and focus to the general population. It is worth defending. However, we as a camp must uplift ourselves and make our camp a place worth being proud of, not an unsafe and oppressive space.
Good riddance.
Occupy Philly is not being evicted yet. Get your facts straight. As of 3PM on November 28th Occupy Philly is still camped out at City Hall.
