What do either of these lecturers have to do with the Occupy movement? I realize they declare themselves leftists. Does the Occupy movement have a particular set of issues or is just any set of left issues relevant?
I’m sure they will say–political action against the corptocracy rah, rah. They will make some relevant statements, in other words.
It’s a genuine question. I am honestly curious to know the reason for inviting these lecturers. Above, I am guessing that any lecturers may be invited if they have some left-wing credentials, whatever the basis or focus for these credentials.

I’m a peace-loving Jewish person, but Norman Finkelstein? Was David Duke busy?
Finkelstein is an expert on Israel in much the way that Strom Thurmond was an expert on African Americans in the South. He’s a bigot, pure and simple.
And once more – you guys still don’t have a clear agenda, with the exception of falling into a pattern of politically correct self-hatred.
