Tuesday at 7:30 pm, the medics are giving training about mental health issues vs substance abuse issues. If you want to get info about distinguishing between persons that might be high on drugs and people with serious mental problems and how to deal with these persons, visit the medical tent at 7:30 pm tomorrow night.

is there anywhere to sign up to volunteer?
don’t know specifically about this, but in general if you want to help come down whenever you can and find someone from the relevent group or sign up at the info table if you don’t know which group fits your skills & interests
Can we perhaps use a term like “mentally ill” or “mental health issues” instead of “serious mental problems?” It is not a problem that some people’s minds operate differently than most.

Crash Course in Conflict Resolution – 8pm, open to all
This is a knowledge-sharing opportunity that will include basics about de-escalation and how to facilitate conversations about differences of opinion after a conflict.
I agree with Dan commenting above that the language of this post is disrespectful.
Get a job!
I wish I could make it tonight. I am 57, disabled, a veteran of Rainbow CALM MASH units since 1983 and getting on a bus from Western Mass tomorrow morning to go to Boston, to do some patient advocacy testifying at a Joint Judiciary Committee Hearing at the State House. I don’t know how long it will run or if I will be granted audience, with luck they’ll let me speak my piece and leave early. Then, I hope to make my way tout suite to Dewey Square. I can port about a duffelbag’s worth of supplies.. blankets? warm clothes? what is on the wish list now? I have a few big rectangular caterer size aluminum baking pans and foil, would that be useful? Anything else an old lady pushing a deffelbag in baby stroller might bring you? Ginger tea? I hope to hear right back from you, lol, big on my wish list is more conversation, more consensus building, more comraderie~ yours in peace and struggle, solidarity forever, love ms socks
